Testimonials
“I’d like to thank Charles Samaha of Latitude 24 Designs for his help in getting this boat built and shipped to my nephew Christopher for his 7th birthday. At all stages of this project, Charles stayed in contact with me. Even though I am in Australia, it was great to have somebody over the other side of the world who I could trust to make this all happen.” - Karl Texler, Victoria Australia
”In the category of most beautiful SeaWind ever sailed in a Region 3 Regatta was the CE by Charles Samaha. A very professional picture perfect paint process only Charles can do. He weighed in at exactly class weight of 6lbs 8oz.” - AMYA, Model Yachting Magazine, Issue # 153
“Without Doubt, Charles of Latitude 24 Designs has been instrumental in making my boat stylish and perform. His kit of AMYA Seawind class legal upgrades have allowed me the maximum ability in tuning the rig to place well on each outing. Of course, finishing at or near the top isn’t everything, doing it in style counts too. His paint job of my Seawind is unbelievable, the depth and shine is commented on by everyone that checks it out. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Charles of Latitude 24 Designs to anyone, both for build, upgrade, paint, or graphics.” - Adrian Sullivan, Florida
“When it came to having my Seawind sailboat built correctly for racing, I did not have to look long for someone that not only could build it for racing with an amazing set of hop-ups needed to enhance its’ reliability during racing conditions, but also with the knowledge to tune it for me and to help show me how to tune it as my experience progresses. Latitude 24 Designs was able to accomplish this for me, which has made my transition into sailing a smooth and enjoyable experience. The experience was so good I would easily recommend anyone to Charles at Latitude 24 Designs, LLC for your build and/or paint as I have seen his impressive paint jobs and graphic art work first hand.” - Ruffy Rios, Florida
“I’ve seen a number of boats that Charles painted and I see his talents and skills. A painted pattern of water droplets across the fore deck on one model ship had me checking to see if it was water droplets or painted graphics. This was on top of a beautifully painted deck of a Kyosho Seawind. Charles painted a light and delicate “Footy” class boat hull for me with a orange-copper sheen that looked like you could swim in it. The hull turned out gorgeous and virtually without any gain in weight, though it looked like it had a ton of color. Tough paint too. I know Charles and know that he is a straight up guy to deal with and is very knowledgeable in painting, building sailboat kits, rigging and trimming them.” - David Whitaker, Florida
For my summer project I decided to build a Micro-Magic Racing kit by Graupner, a new class that is just taking off in the USA. My intention was to build a boat in order to be able to give advice on construction to prospective new owners and to promote the class locally in Arizona. I enjoy most everything about boat building except painting for which I have no talent and can make event the best built boat look tacky. I approached Charles Samaha to see if he would be available and interested in doing a paint job for me. I said I was looking for something simple but classy, mainly optic yellow for visibility with black for sail number on the bow, a class logo on deck and maybe a decorative swoosh or two. He came back to me the next day with draft graphics which were right on the money and I agreed to send him the boat parts as soon as I finished them for painting.I shipped him the hull, fin and bulb, rudder and canopy and 20 days later, of which 14 were shipping time, I received them back. Perfect hardly describes the condition! The boat has received congratulatory comments wherever photos have been posted and from onlookers at our local ponds. As a promotional boat for the class it is already very successful with 4 new orders already placed. If you want a boat you can be proud of, Charles is the man to produce it! - Mike Eades, MM USA-15, Wickenburg AZ
I have known Charles for about two and a half years and have seen almost every boat that has gone through his hands. All of them are just unbelievable in the quality of work, craftsmanship and attention to detail that he puts in every single one of them.
He has a solid background in graphic design, which added to his skills with a spray gun are just the perfect combination for getting amazing results. This Spring I bought my first Seawind and decided that it had to look perfect. Myself having no time or patience to paint a boat the way I wanted; I said, let’s handed over to Charles. Next thing I know, my boat was transform into Seawind PUR-196. The finish is like a glass, just unbelievable. Everybody has to say something about the quality of the work every time I go to the pond. Needless to say that Charles is a very reliable and professional individual. Thanks for your excellent service and support. - Carlos Suarez, St. Cloud FL
